Columbian Home 6328-1 Review by connorjack

My husband and I were searching for a steamer for our annual clambake (our old one finally wore out) and found exactly what we were looking for at amazon. As a matter of fact, we were able to purchase a propane burner and a lobster pot all for one great price. We'll be using our new items this weekend and know that we will be extremely satisfied, as the products are well made and sturdy.

Columbian Home 6328-1 Review by Gridley

Fit four lbs of snow crab, pound of shrimp, 12 new potatoes and four ears of corn in one layer. Fits perfect on the side burner of my Jenn-Air grill which worked out great because I couldn't get the faucet to stop leaking. At least it was outside. Manual says to hand tighten but you may want to give it 1 extra turn with a wrench before first use. Boiled potatoes and corn in the pot for 12 minutes then transferred to steamer with crab and shrimp. Seasoned with Weber's new Cajun seasoning which is great because it's low on sodium. What a great feast!!

Columbian Home 6328-1 Review by Ronin Marine Mom (Pittsburgh, PA)

This is the second 3 tier pot that I have bought for having really great clam bakes with our families. I've used one for years and recently purchased one for my sister and brother in law. We had a get together and we surprised them with an assortment of seafood, chicken, sausage, vegetables, and whatever else we could fit in the pot. With a bottle of white wine, a stick of butter, some Old Bay seasoning and 2 boxes of chicken stock to start my husband sat for a few hours and drained cup after cup from the bottom pot, then repoured in the top pot. All of the spices, juices and really great flavors combine and make a REALLY great broth. If you do this, take your time and not hurry this dinner. Just keep the clam king supplied with plenty of beer so he can enjoy the efforts of all his hard work. Mussels, Clams, Shrimp and lobster tails go on last, so be creative and don't overpack with to many potatoes. The first time is always the hardest, but after that you'll all become pros. This is a great product at a great price. You won't be sorry. Enjoy!

Columbian Home 6328-1::Description

This Granite Ware 3 tier shore dinner pot with faucet is constructed of porcelain. The convenient 3 tier design is perfect for cooking your whole meal in one pot. Porcelain enamel is the result of fusing powdered glass to a substrate by firing, usually between 750 and 850 degrees Celsius. The powder melts and flows and hardens to a durable vitreous coating on a carbon steel core. It creates a smooth, hard finish that won’t burn and resists staining. It’s also non -porous so it won’t trap odors or food particles and provides a low coefficient of friction – meaning that it cleans up easily and, it is corrosion and chemically resistant so it will last a long time. When fired, the vessel is placed on pins so the bottom and sides are hardened during the firing process into one smooth laminated glass surface. You may notice slight pin indentations where the glass has flowed around the pin that supports the base during firing. The pin marks do not compromise the finish or performance of the vessel in any way but you should take additional care in handling if using on glass top stove. 12 Qt capacity.
